You can click “Read More” to scroll through the picture tutorial, full recipe, and my notes. You probably already have lots of questions about how it’s baked, what kind of cookware you can use besides a Dutch oven, and how long you should let yours rise. Look at those scrumptious slices! They’re just begging to be slathered with goat cheese and honey, or topped with tomatoes, basil and a drizzle of good olive oil. I’ve used both active dry yeast and highly active dry yeast with great results! Just make sure your flour is fresh and yeast isn’t expired. Sounds like a lifetime, I know, but waiting is the only difficult part of this recipe. The beautiful, crusty and fluffy bread that results from just four ingredients will knock your socks off! All it takes is flour, salt, yeast and water, all mixed up in a bowl and set to rest for 8-24 hours. I have something amazing to share with you today! I mean, you’ve seen artisan bread before but you’ve probably never seen it as easily made as this! I’d say this is one part recipe, one part magic trick… it’s just incredible. Note: if you see a message saying something like “git fatal: The current branch has no upstream branch” then you can read my post which details how to fix it.Before you can share the results of your work by pushing your changes to the upstream, you need to synchronize with the remote repository to make sure your local copy of the project is up to date. You will see the url, the branch name, and will see which is the default branch. … where ORIGIN is the name of the remote. To find details about a remote you can use this command: git remote show ORIGIN I’ve written another post which explains how to git remote remove. If you are looking for how to ‘git change remote origin’ then this is the command you are looking for. So it would look like this: git remote set-url ORIGIN^Cttps:///Emil圜hristy/react-bootstrap-cards.git Similar to the git remote add command, git remote set-url takes 2 commands: Use the git remote set-url command to change the url of the remote git repo – or ‘git change remote origin’. To find the url of ORIGIN, or in other words to git check origin, use: git remote -v Change the remote url using git remote set-url git check origin – find the name and url of the remote server You will then see the remote name of any servers. If you don’t know what the name is of your remote is then you can use this command to check : git remote Working with remotes – add / remove / details Check the remote servers (or find git origin) Once you’ve done this you will be able to push your changes from the local repo to the remote. This connects the local repo to a remote repo at the address you specified. So to set the ORIGIN in git, the full command would be: git remote add ORIGIN There are 2 arguments to the git remote add command: In this case you will need git set-url as described below. If there is already a remote with the name specified, you will get an error when you use the git remote add command. You use the git remote add command when there is not already a remote with the name specified. Set the remote repository using git remote add If you had renamed your remote to MYREMOTE then you would have to type: git fetch MYREMOTE In that case, all of these commands do exactly the same thing : git fetch ORIGIN In many cases you don’t have to specify ORIGIN because it’s presumed that it’s the name of your remote. ![]() It’s important to understand that in many git commands certain details are presumed. ![]() When you start out using git it can feel as if the only time you see mention of ORIGIN is when you see an error. If you haven’t deliberately changed anything about the remote – or if you have no idea what that even means, then you can presume that you have one remote, and that it’s called ORIGIN. So if you don’t tell it what you want your remote to be called, then it will call it ORIGIN by default. When you initially clone a repository using git clone, it automatically creates a remote connection called ORIGIN pointing back to the cloned repository. ORIGIN is just a shorthand name for the url of a remote repository. If you were to run the command git remote add origin and then command git remote add ORIGIN you will have two new remotes, one called origin and one called ORIGIN! Git is case sensitive so it is fairly easy to accidentally create multiple remotes. However it’s good to know how to add and remove a git remote. One repository can have multiple ‘remotes’ – although most generally you will only have one. Once created, the repository has a unique url – the url of this remote repository that I’ve created is: Here is a screenshot of what it looks like when you create a new repo in github. Create the remote repo in githubīefore you can do anything else you need to make sure the remote url exists in your github account, and for that to be the case you need to create a new repository. The remote repo can then be cloned by others so they can also contribute to the code in the repo. You need to set up an account with github / gitlab / bitbucket which are some of the many hosts of remote repositories. So if you change your local files, the remote ones won’t change until you ‘commit’ your local changes and ‘push’ them to the remote repo. Once you push your files from your local repo to your remote repo it means there is a copy of them in a remote location. Change the remote url using git remote set-urlĪ remote repository (or repo, for short) is an online store for your local code, an online, cloud based version of your code.git check origin – find the name and url of the remote server.Check the remote servers (or find git origin).Working with remotes – add / remove / details.Set the remote repository using git remote add. ![]() ![]() But acorns are technically edible, and not just for squirrels. Then I brought the meal back into the kitchen to try out other applications I brewed acorn coffee (not worth it) and boiled the acorn Most species of oak produce acorns that are laden with bitter tannins, leaving the adventurous eater cotton-mouthed with regret. I ate the meal by the palmful and sprinkled it on yogurt and ice cream. I likened the toasted acorn meal to cocoa nibs in scent, taste, and crunch. The results were tantalizing-an amalgam of nuts, caramel, chocolate, and vanilla. So my next step was to try to impart flavor by dry-roasting the leached meal. Gradually though, the bitter gave way to disappointingly bland. Despite the loss of color and scent with each rinse, the acorn meal was stubbornly bitter. The first soak turned the water a beautiful creamy orange with a faintly nutty smell and a taste that was less bitter than I had expected. Using hot water shortened the leaching time. My final capitulation was to give up the idea of only cold-water rinses, which I thought would maintain more flavor and nutrition in the nuts. I used wood ash from my wood-burning stove as lye before switch-ing to store-bought pickling lime. At first, I aspired to keep the acorn meat as intact as possible, but leaching tannins became a weeklong process so I settled on food-processing the acorns into a coarse meal prior to leaching. Autumn of 2014 was a mast season for oaks in Northeast Ohio, and with about 60 gallons of acorns, surely I was going to be satiated by my oak tree, if only I knew what to do with them. Then, as if by coordinated effort, the oaks would overwhelm the remain-ing hungry squirrels, satiating them while leaving plenty of acorn leftovers to regenerate oak forest. ![]() Theory explains why, during lean acorn years, populations of acorn predators- say, squirrels-would shrink due to the dearth of food. Oak trees exhibit the phenomenon called masting, whereby the individual trees in an area produce few seeds for multiple years, followed by a bumper crop for a season. In late October, when my tree had shed most of its acorns, I raked the inch-long, velvety oak nuts into a pile nearly filling a 32-gallon garbage can, with a pile of similar volume outside. And if people across the northern hemisphere, from antiquity to today, can eat oak seeds, then so can I. He speculates that these first food pro-cessors were perhaps grinding acorns. In his book, Oak: The Frame of Civilization, William Bryant Logan points out that tools for grinding grain have been found in archeological digs near oak groves where evidence for wheat or other grain is lacking. ![]() ![]() Prime managed to momentarily disable Lockdown by tossing him into a crane cable, allowing the Autobot leader to escape once again with his human allies Lockdown freed himself in time to try and stop them with a grenade, but the only victim of its blast was Lucas Flannery.ĭiscovering the truth part-way into his journey, the furious Lockdown ordered a return to Earth. ![]() Lockdown later pursued Prime across the highway, and eventually engaged Prime in battle on the roof of an abandoned factory.
